Romero City is by far the largest and most-populous city in Mishigimaa, with well over half a million inhabitants, and its wider metropolitan area having almost five million.
The city is known as a major cultural centre, known for its contributions to music, art, and architecture. It's also a major port, connecting to the Grand Lakes via the Romero Strait, and sits on the border with Northland. It is also, of course, a major economic hub, in particular the financial, medical and technology sectors.
Politically, it tends to lean slightly Democrat.

Spearing is the capital of Mishigimaa, but the third largest city after Romero and Grand Rapids. As the capital, the city is home to the State House and the State Police HQ (as well as the Governor's personal residence), making it a key location for coordinating state issues. In addition, due to its political and economic significance, all three major corporations have an office in the city.
The city is notable for having a number of significant educational institutions, including medical schools, law schools, and Mishigimaa State University.
Politically, it tends to lean slightly Republican.

Bay City is a smaller city with fewer than 50,000 residents, sitting close to the coast of the Grand Lakes that separate Mishigimaa from Northland. It's most distinguishing feature is the Sagong river, that effectively bisects the city into two halves, with travel allowed by four bascule drawbridges.
The city is well known for its numerous festivals and celebrations, especially during the summer months.
Politically, it tends to lean fairly Republican.

Grand Rapids is the second largest city in Mishigimaa, with over 200,000 residents. Historically, it is known for being a major lumber and furniture producer, though today it has a very diverse economy.
It is the economic and cultural hub of western Mishigimaa, and one of the fastest growing cities in the tri-state region.
Politically, it tends to lean fairly Democrat.

Mishigimaa is a state in the Central-North of the country, bordering Northland and the Grand Lakes.
It is one of the more populated states, with a reasonably well-developed economy, though it has slipped down the rankings slowly over the last decade.
Whilst the bulk of its economy is manufacturing, forestry, agriculture and services, Mishigimaa is one of the highest ranking states in the country for high-tech and R&D companies, with over half a million workers in these sectors.
Politically, it tends to lean slightly Republican.
